Empowering the world through oral history

Join Our Mission

societal standards

Our definition of bottom up history is to approach major socio-economic and  political events and policies that have impacted the lived experiences of individuals. The ideal interview is one in which the interviewee can clearly tie his or her lived experience to significant transforming national or global historical events.

The lived-experiences of individuals can be viewed through a variety of social lenses such as educational experience, familial economic-conditions, raise and falls in societal stands, or living conditions, and employment and employment advancement opportunities. The lived experience of an induvial often stands in contract to official recorded historical events.

Our Mission

At OHRLCI, we are dedicated to preserving oral histories and promoting cultural heritage. Our mission is to empower communities through storytelling and education.
