At Oral History Research & Learning Center - International (OHRLCI), we provide funding support for individuals, academic institutions, and organizations engaged in oral history projects. Starting in 2027, an annual grant opportunity of $2,000 will be awarded in September. Submission deadline will be January 30 for eligible to students, individuals, or organizations that demonstrate significant progress in developing and implementing a bottom-up oral history project. The number of grants will expand dependent upon income from membership fees and donations.
GRANT FUNDING: REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS DUE March 31, 2027
- Proposals should focus on oral history research projects pertaining to South Korea, Japan, and China.
- This Oral History funding prioritizes projects where some portion of the research is done in one of the three countries.
- A description of your project not to exceed three pages double-spaced, the project impact, project time frame, and anticipated budget to completion.
- Include current Curriculum Vitae or Resume and affiliations.
- Research to be published in the OHRLCI journal upon completion.
OHRLCI JOURNAL SUBMISSIONS DUE January 15, 2027
- Submissions should pertain to completed or ongoing oral history research in South Korea, Japan, and China.
- Submissions should not exceed 5,000 words or 10 pages single-spaced.
